Job Description

Our client, a leader in the technology industry, is seeking an Cable Installation Technician to join their team. As a Cable Installation Technician, you will be part of the Infrastructure team supporting the installation and management of critical network and server equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Cable Installation Technician

Location: New Carlisle, IN

Pay Range: $25/HR on Experis W2

What's the Job?

• Partner with cable vendors to install, inspect, and troubleshoot cabling.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Ensure that the Data Center and vendor installations comply with all installation practices.
• Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system to complete customer requests and projects.
• Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain site cleanliness.

What's Needed?

• 1 year of experience in cabling or optical installation.
• Previous experience working in a data center is a plus.
• High School Diploma minimum.
• Ability to work safely at heights and from ladders.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for heavier items.
