About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as the strategic leader and president of the medical and dental staff, with a strong focus on health equity initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a champion of the company's mission, using their strategic thinking, good judgment, and interpersonal skills to solve problems and drive change. The CMO will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, development, and management of all medical and dental leadership and staff, as well as enforcing bylaws and overseeing the clinical quality program. Collaboration with clinical leaders to design and implement training, development, and performance management goals is also a key aspect of the role. Candidates for the CMO position at the company should have a medical degree, a valid MD/DO medical license, and at least 10 years of clinical experience, with a minimum of 4 years in a management role. An advanced degree in MBA or MHA is preferred. The successful candidate will be fluent in English, with a preference for a second language of Spanish. Essential duties include championing efficiency and quality improvement, managing clinical risk, and the master clinician schedule, and facilitating the evaluation and implementation of annual clinical expectations, budgets, and visit volumes. The role requires a leader who can inspire clinicians, embrace diversity, and is passionate about the joy of work in the healthcare setting.
