About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join their Executive Team. The CMO will be the senior physician leader, responsible for promoting high-quality, cost-effective medical care and leading interactions with medical and administrative staff. This role involves supporting consistent clinical performance and practice standards, providing leadership for quality and safety initiatives, and collaborating with all stakeholders. The CMO will also be involved in business development activities and will focus on developing a physician leadership network to advance the clinical operations agenda. Candidates for the CMO position at the company should have a medical degree, completed an accredited residency program, and be board-certified, preferably in a field of adult medicine. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of clinical experience, be highly self-motivated, and possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. The CMO will be expected to have a current medical license and board certification in a US state. Key responsibilities include investigating and implementing new medical practices, participating in patient care program development, and representing the company in various medical and clinical affairs. The CMO will also be involved in budget preparation, performance evaluation of physicians, and ensuring compliance with medical staff and hospital policies.
