Commercial Litigation Attorney - Counsel (Science Background Required)

Direct Counsel is seeking a Commercial Litigation Counsel to join a prestigious Am Law 100 firm’s Litigation group. Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school

  • An additional degree in MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology is required

• Bar Admission:

  • Must be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction in which you are applying

  • Candidates licensed to practice law in New York are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities:

• Communicating with clients and providing strategic legal counsel

• Supervising junior associates and coordinating case teams

• Working closely with expert witnesses and consultants

• Assisting in fact development, discovery, and depositions

• Drafting and reviewing discovery responses, legal briefs, motions, and memoranda

• Contributing to case strategy and trial preparation

Experience:

• 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an Am Law 100 firm

• Strong science background required

• Experience in products liability and/or complex commercial litigation preferred

• Familiarity with pharmaceutical and medical device industries is a plus

Additional Information:

• Work Environment: Hybrid work model with regular in-office presence and some flexibility for remote work

• Compensation: $400,000 - $500,000 per year, depending on geographic location and experience level
