Job Description

Overview:

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Credentialing and Authentication Specialist to support the IT program at a major national laboratory. You will provide management and support of a wide range of credentialing processes and support activities. Areas of focus will include Credential Issuance and Management, Account and Credential Maintenance, and Customer Support and Communication. You will utilize general knowledge and understanding of enterprise system authentication methods, including Multifactor Authentication, and support multiple IT environments. You will support various credentialing systems, remote site projects, and contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives within the ITIL framework.

Responsibilities:
  • Initiate generation and issuance of new accounts, as well as deactivation of multiple forms of authentication credentials.
  • Support and manage the walk-in process for credentialing authentication requests and incidents.
  • Perform administrative updates to accounts, such as ownership and display name changes.
  • Manage incoming email tasks, including ticket review, prioritization, resolution, and some basic troubleshooting and inquiry.
  • Provide administrative support for enterprise IT teams and customer questions via hotline and various forms of telecommunications technologies, including paging notifications.
  • Contribute to automation and improvement discussions to help enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as a liaison for cyber-related matters and support ongoing administrative tasks.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of experience performing administrative like duties.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required per contract.
  • Must have an Active Q Clearance.
  • Experience with shared file systems, web applications, and custom applications

Desired:

  • Experience working with different networks and managing multiple credentials.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and technologies.
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems including UNIX, Linux, Windows, and Mac OS.
  • Industry recognized certifications such as CompTIA A+, NET+, and SEC+
  • Degree in information technology related field
  • Understanding of ITIL framework

Salary: $37.16/hr
