Job Description

You will construct, modify, install, repair and maintain all tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and sample products. Set up, adjust and operate various manual lathes, mills, drill presses and grinders to produce parts to the required tolerances.

Responsibilities:

• Must be able to read and understand blueprints and produce parts from the information obtained from the blueprints within required tolerances
• Responsible for the quality of the parts they produce and perform first-piece inspection, as well as subsequent inspections, to ensure overall quality
• Responsible for taking care of routine maintenance and keeping the work area clean and neat
• Follow all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Possess and be able to use micrometers and dial calipers to ensure the quality of the parts being produce. Must be equipped with all required tools to perform the functions of the job
• Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports
• Physical ability to do work requiring frequent standing, bending, twisting, turning, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Sufficient visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipment properly

The base salary range for this position is $29.23, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
