Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As Branch Senior Commercial Loan Officer, you will meet the requirements of a full time Commercial Loan Officer, while also managing and providing leadership and guidance to the Commercial Loan Officers within your team.
Essential Functions:
- As Branch Senior Lender you will be responsible for a team commercial loan portfolio of $50 - $75 million.
- Manage/direct the day-to-day loan activities of up to 3 Commercial Lending Officers
- Responsible for commercial, agriculture, commercial real estate loans and personal loans of the Senior Lending Officers assigned to your team.
- Responsible for achieving the portfolio growth objectives as established by the CEO/President while adhering to established loan policies and procedures.
- Responsible for effective oversight and management of the portfolio through careful analysis, timely review of customer loan performance, and adherence to bank lending policy and procedure.
COMPETENCIES:
- Is able to explain commercial loan products, complete all documentation and disclosures requirements and close a commercial loan within their lending limits with guidance and direction.
- Is able to collect and analyze applications, tax returns and financial statements required for commercial loans within their lending limits with guidance and direction.
- Understands commercial loan underwriting program and is able to input information into system with guidance and direction.

- Uses computer programs that assist with financial analysis and document storage with assistance and direction.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Meet all objectives listed on the Loan Officer personal scorecard through proper/productive management of the loan portfolio.
- Protect the bank from financial loss on loans by timely review of customer loan performance and effective collection procedure.
- Assure complete and accurate loan documentation files, by following bank's lending policy and procedure.
- Develop and maintain strong account relationships, both credit and noncredit.
- Promote a good image of the bank in the community by being involved in civic and charitable activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Commercial Area Lending Manager and Credit Administration.
Requirements
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or at least 3-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and grow a loan portfolio.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Cash Focus, Director, Internet, and demonstrated ability to learn other computer programs.
