- Available Shift: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
Job Summary :
The HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining the safe and efficient operation of equipment including chillers, compressors, cooling towers, air conditioning, light commercial furnaces, boilers, intake and exhaust fans, steam and cooled water coils and HVAC systems.
Responsibilities: - Comply with all legislated and relevant laws and regulations for safety and quality including lockout tag out, GMP, HACCP, Allergen and Blommer specific policies and procedures. Maintain work area and equipment, ensure clean, sanitary and orderly conditions. Ensure tools and equipment in good working order.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize mean time between failures. Conduct routine inspection and alignment checks of equipment, troubleshoot, adjust and repair. Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted as required.
- Troubleshoot equipment reviewing work requests to determine potential nature of problem. Verify troubleshooting analysis by disassembly and inspection of components using established procedures in accordance with applicable standard and guidelines.
- Support engineering and maintenance team during project instillations and start-up of new equipment. Provide input to help improve processes and ensure their reliability.
Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED, three years' experience in commercial and industrial heating and cooling systems, technical training
- Able to read and write English to maintain reports and work logs
- Mechanical aptitude; use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
