Job Description

Global luxury personal care brand is seeking a passionate and creative Package Development Engineer to join their team in New York City. This role will support all package components development in terms of design, analysis, and Industrialization.

This is a hybrid role (4 days in office, 1 remote)

Responsibilities:

• Create eye-catching graphics and engaging designs
• Develop product packaging including secondary and tertiary according to company standards and protocols.
• Create and maintain all package BOMs.
• Create and maintain primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging specifications.
• Create and maintain finish goods (fill and assembly) specifications including pallet patterns.
• Understand supplier manufacturing processes, and filling plant operations and logistics.
• Understand CAD drawings and component blueprints (2D and 3D/SolidWorks).
• Submit rough layouts for project approval
• Work closely with and provide guidance to operation teams, vendors and plants on manufacturing and industrialization.

Qualifications:

• BS in Package Engineering (preferred) or equivalent technical degree.
• 2-3 years of relevant packaging experience, ideally in cosmetics and/or personal care/beauty.
• Strong PC, MS Office, and basic CAD software.
• Deadline and detail-oriented
